Refined Tones

Ludivine Poiblanc's subtle mix of texture and combination of color is so refined. She's got herringbone, cashmere, leather, wool and suede in her infusion of style. And the flavor is concentrated in her amazing Celine camel coat!

The Sacai Parka

Here's another version of the outstanding Sacai parka that Sarah is wearing in the previous post. This one is the product of a collaboration with Italian outerwear brand Moncler. I love the way Alexandra Stylianidis, Jewelry and Accessories buyer at Liberty, layers it over this long, printed, tiered Vanessa Bruno dress. The shape of the print and of the tiers work so well with the ruffles on the back of the parka. Great styling!

Pure Beauty

There is a refined and elegant quality to Isabelle Kountoure's style. Often dressed in black, she keeps her lines simple, crisp and sometimes architectural. To add pop to her looks, she plays with layers or incorporates hints of the season's favorites, like her lace cami below. The Pop Magazine fashion editor is also strikingly honest and down to earth. I really enjoy chatting with her before and after shows.

Chocolate Fringe

Oooh! Maria's fringe shawl is totally enviable! She found it at Zara two seasons ago. Yes, you read right. I checked but there aren't anymore. Anyone have any ideas? Maybe a vintage find? Maybe a luxurious gift from Hermes? I joke! Where ever I find it, I know I'll have Maria in mind for color combos. How chic is chocolate brown with grey? And how gorgeous is her layering? I love the shawl and knit jacket over this utilitarian short jumpsuit; and the lace-up boots just make the look! Ah! Yummy chocolate!

Oatmeal serpent peach lite

Don't worry. No cause for alarm. I don't think that I'm on a roll or something using "serpent" in the titles of my posts. It's totally a coincidence. Or maybe not. Snake skin and exotics are all over the runway. But back to blogger and emerging, Italian accessories designer Laura Armato. How incredible are the tones in her outfit? Paired with khaki pants and slithers of almost white cuffs at the pulse and around the ankles, the contrasting oatmeal tweed and ombré scaling of her jacket by emerging, Italian designer Marco Corso is sublime. And her oversize envelope clutch? A beauty of her own design for her line Coseatre. Sealed with a red kiss, the look is pure harmony!

Red, Camel, Spectator

Oh! There is so much to love about this look: a signature red lipstick; a gray cashmere scarf; a fine-herringbone, bathrobe, camel coat; cuffed indigo jeans and spectator, wingtip oxfords. I'm dying over every single detail!

The Chic Muse

The young, fresh, and internationally stylish Denni of the Chic Muse who took Paris Fashion week by storm with her fabulously adventurous sense of style. I adore how she plays dress-up. Her personal twist on the latest trends and interpretations of styles from previous eras are always inspiring. Here in a Zara parka, Naf Naf blouse, vintage Levi's cut-offs and Zara booties, she is beyond effortless-cool! I' love those back-seam tights. They are that one detail that always makes the look!

Nicole Brundage

Nicole Brundage has very quickly become one of my favorite emerging shoe designers. Her creations address the various stylistic profiles of the modern woman- she offers looks that are chic, sleek, edgy, feminine and fashioned with a certain conceptual quality. For Fall/Winter 2010, Brundage, like many other designers, directs her search for inspiration to the "old classics" and to the idea of craftsmanship via a feeling of solidness and sturdiness. What she comes up with is just divine!

Graphic and tactile fabrications that assure 24-7 wearing. Burlesque shapes that bring out your inner Dita Von Teese. Solid sinuous heels designed to add rhythm to your step- it's about dancing your way through this grumpy world we live in daarling!

You would think that designing one stellar line would be enough for the young designer. No, that's so a decade ago. This is where the jaw-dropping, my heart literally stopped, I'm not kidding, it's on the list, stunner-of-a-sandal below comes in. This jewel is a look from the Fall/Winter 2010 collection of Brundage's new line, Acrobats of God. Launched this Spring, Brundage describes the range as "a way of expressing the extraordinary in the ordinary." She builds upon this principle for AOG's sophomore collection by addressing fashion's current purchasing conundrum: the econ-influenced need for practicality versus the strong and natural desire for the playful or fanciful. The collection proposes to rework simple things by transforming unprocessed materials such as wood into objects of high-tech design, and to reinterpret traditional techniques such as knitting or weaving with the use of unexpected materials such as elastic. Congrats are in order. Ms. Brundage succeeded at what she set out to do, the collection is extraordinarily divine!

In the sun, or in the shade?

I couldn't decide. I love Sophie at both sides of Place Vendôme. I'm super sure, however, about how brilliant she looks. Her black and oatmeal theme, her incredible layering, the awesome draping of her outfit and her statement belt are absolutely modern chic!

Pastels and Fluo

So my family and I are on Paradise Island, Bahamas for our annual family vacation. And during lunch I noticed that we were all wearing emerald green tops- my two boys were wearing polos and I am wearing a Phillip Lim reinterpreted caftan blouse. When we are traveling, I often change my son's top before meals to avoid spills. This was a hard-learned lesson. When he was one-year-old we went to Sardegna for our summer trip. He had just discovered watermelon and consumed one pounders after every meal. Well you can probably imagine the staining that occurred. So now that I am a seasoned mother (LOL), I pack some of his worn-out clothing from the previous year to get us through meal time. Plus, he is so over bibs.

After observing our vacation uniform (my husband told me that someone greeted us as the Green family earlier today), I immediately thought how much I like the contrasting pastel and fluo palette on my son's 2010 SS wardrobe. I was a super-mom this year, mixing Bonpoint, Petit Bateau and Zara to get the perfect blend of khaki's and fluo pink, lime green and slate gray, cobalt and shocking orange. And they say dressing girls is more fun! Ha you haven't met me yet! LOL!

And now as I sit at my computer thinking about what to post, these two images immediately come to mind.

NYFW Favorites • Cerise Zelenetz

Here's another of my favorite images from my Harper's Bazaar Fashion Month street style coverage. From the bows decorating the back of her Rodarte for Target dress, her herringbone tights, to the gold architectural heel of her wedges, the details of Cerise's look are perfection.

The Grey Chameleon

Let's talk about Valentina Ilardi Martin, Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director of Grey Magazine. I am beyond enamored with her style, so much so that I always sit at the edge of my chair when I look at her images. This reaction definitely has something to do with her gaze which is very dynamic- it is very engaging but at the same time kind of distant, and there is an intriguing calmness about it.

What specifically attracts me to her style? I love that she takes on different characters with each look. So when I refer to her as chameleon, it isn't in the sense that she changes her style- to the contrary, her style is rather consistent. She is a chameleon because her personal stylistic interpretations are brilliant. Her looks are clever referrals to a certain style and are effortless and never over-done. Plus, the girl knows how to choose a hat and a coat!

The Cowgirl- Can her suede trench be anymore divine layered over a relaxed denim shirt and camo shorts?

The Penguin and the Harem Pants

I adore Ursina's look. It's a brilliant combination! A little boho, a little gypsy. She's fantastic.
