Laure Heriard Dubreuil, rich browns, cream and pewter

Laure's combination of a rich rusty brown trousers, sienna boots, cream jacket/fur vest and pewter  Chanel handbag is so chic! I can't wait to visit the Webster this Spring to see what she's selected for the fashionable Miami set. I'm sure that the selection will be as gorgeous as this look.

P.S. You read correctly, I'll be headed to Miami for a few days this Spring. Can't wait!

Jennifer, Flower Power

Jennifer's print and lace floral combo dominate the lines on this Paris street! J'adore! The colors are amazing together and tell such a cute rosy story. AND, I love her two-tone, loafer style, power-player pumps. AND, her maxi-envelope clutch closes the deal! Here's to flower power! Signed, sealed and delivered!

Patti, Less is more

Sometimes less is definitely more. Patti looks incredible in a simple total-black look and ivory crochet sack. Love that she's paired these cropped trousers with a pair of wedges. Super-cute detail!

Inès de La Fressange, Photographer

It was awesome seeing a sporty Inès de La Fressange at the couture shows with her camera. I spotted her at Elie Saab show shooting front row. I wonder who she's shooting for. A personal project? Either way, she's got her photographer's look down pat. I've been working on mine since 2005. Style icons... so inspiring.

UPDATE! Thanks to the lovely Claire and Caroline, I can now tell you that Inès is on assignment for Madame Figaro. So cool! I can't!

Jeeyong is just so cool. Love the tones here: black and white tweed thrown over gorgeous deep red. I'm such a fan of hers.

Elena's top is like a decadent piece of armor.  It's a gorgeous accent to her classic black and white look.

Alana's look is so inspiring. Simple, feminine, and effortlessly cool are the best words to describe it. I'm always down for a pretty print, and I really love that she's paired the look with the Acne Pistols.  They really add that cool, laid-back touch to the outfit.

Outfit Inspiration, Isabel Marant FW11/12

 

I really liked Isabel Marant's FW11/12 collection. And  heck yeah, I'm still bummed out that I couldn't get my hands on a pair of the fringe boots- to hell with personal budgetary constraints. But hey, all the more reason to be inspired to put together an outfit. Here's my take on the over all mood of the collection, lots of Navajo-inspired fringe, cool denim and a bit of cowboy. I'm wearing a suede fringe blazer from Cut, Milano, Rag & Bone Jeans, Prada thigh-high boots, a bag from Bonpoint, hat from Zara and a scarf by Max Mara. I had a lot of fun playing with this look. Were there any looks that you recreated this season that you would like to share? Love to hear about it!

Joseph Reversible Shearling, Definitely a New Favorite

I picked up this Joseph reversible shearling just after Thanksgiving. It has quickly become one of my favorite jackets. It's the perfect solution for short trips, like my recent two days in Pitti. I can't remember the last time I traveled anywhere with only one jacket.

I'm wearing a pair of Club Monaco cords in the first pic and my favorite new Celine glasses.

In the second pic I wear a Borsalino hat, Banana Republic scarf, Zara pants and my trusty Celine trio.

Amazing toffee color coat and gorgeous pops of neon pink and citrus orange complemented by sparkly silver socks, Ele always delivers a beautiful look. She's also one of Grazia.it's "It Girls."

Giorgia Tordini, Milan Mens' Fashion Week F/W12

The lovely Giorgia outside the Etro show yesterday. Her look is perfection. So simple and chic, but in no way ordinary. I love the t-strap white sandals. It takes a truly stylish bird to pull them off, especially in the winter. We're working with Giorgia over at Grazia.it. To follow her love for all things fashion, visit our "It Girls" section. Viviana Volpicella, Milan Mens' Fashion Week F/W12

How cute is Viviana's look? You probably can't tell from the pic, but her top is made from neoprene, yes as in scuba gear. It was beyond freezing today (-4°C/24.5°F), and just like a brilliant stylist, she pulled it out of her closet to fight off the cold. Don't you also love her gloves? I love the mix of cashmere, fur and leather. So chic. And don't get me started on her MSGM leopard print tie collar blouse!  She nailed the bow, it's tied to perfection! Great styling Vivi!

Willem Dafoe and Adrien Brody Walk Prada's FW12/13 Mens' Show

This evening Miuccia Prada showed a collection dedicated to men in power. To complete her cast of military dignitaries, managers and other men of power, Mrs Prada enlisted high-profile actors such as Dafoe, Brody, Tim Roth, Gary Oldman, Emile Hirsch, Garrett Hedlund, Jamie Bell and twins Alexandre e Victor Carril who walked the catwalk to the sound of cheers. The collection itself was incredible with gorgeous tailoring, impeccable attention to detail and stunning fabrics. I personally love the coats. In fact, Simone Marchetti suggests that I get one next season and wear it as an oversize coat. I have to say that I'm very tempted.

Inspiring girls, Florence Pitti Uomo 81

A lot of things have changed for me professionally since the first time I attend Pitti  in June 2006. As Director of Grazia.it, I attend the menswear fair to preview trends and to meet with Grazia Italy's clients. I'm learning a lot and meeting many fascinating and inspiring industry players. AND, I am super lucky as I have the opportunity to shoot street style as I am walking around town and between appointments. Here are some lovely images of girls who inspired me yesterday.

From the top:

Valentina-  I spotted Valentina's amazingly detailed look as I was walking to Pitti from my hotel. What don't I love about it. I want her gloves, am swooning over her perfectly layered outerwear,  want to rip the tapestry style backpack of her back, and am really into her oxfords! 

Gilda- A bold printed jacket layered over a maxi pleated leather dress will get my attention every time. Hello!

Nil- Yep, you already know that I am a sucker for pretty girls in bright colors! Oh, she looks amazing!

Fabiana- Camel, tweed, lace and denim (shorts). Nough said!

Pitti starts today and I can't help wonder what one of my favorite male style icons has in store for us. During womens' Simone wore the most brilliant custom made trousers, all  of which were made with Marimekko fabric. I know, genius! Totally original and a master of color, he's always one to watch! I'll be looking out for you Simone! Ciao tesoro!
